If your fingerprints are rejected,
The Records, Communications, and Compliance Division (RCCD) will
notify the requesting agency of the rejection. The
rejection notification will include a letter that contains the
following important details:
- Agency Name
- Account Number
- RFP (Reason Fingerprinted) Number
- ORI Number
- TCR (Transaction Control Reference) Number
The rejection letter will also
include step-by-step instructions for the applicant on how to complete the
reprint process.
There are two options the
applicant has for reprinting fingerprints:
- Electronic Reprint (In
State)
You can get your fingerprints reprinted electronically captured and
submitted at an approved Live Scan Provider location. Visit the following
link to find authorized fingerprinting providers and learn more about the
process: https://fc.nccis.nvdps.gov/NCCISLocateFP/
**Important: You must take a copy of the Civil Applicant
Reprinting Instructions form to your fingerprinting appointment.
This form contains your TCR number, which the fingerprint technician will
need to process the reprint correctly and prevent any additional
fingerprinting fees.**
- Paper Card Reprint
You must obtain a newly rolled fingerprint card (FD 258) from an
authorized fingerprinting site, with all required fields documented:
- Applicant Name
- Account Number (Miscellaneous MNU)
- ORI, Reason Fingerprinted (NRS)
- Date of Birth
- HGT
- WGT
- Signature of Person Fingerprinted, Signature/Badge ID, etc.
of Official Taking Fingerprints and the Date Fingerprinted.
The newly rolled fingerprint card must be stapled to a copy
of the original rejection paperwork and returned to DPS in order to receive
credit and avoid an additional processing fee.
Please Note: The use of white out is no longer accepted on
the fingerprint date field on the fingerprint card. Use of white out in this
section will result in the card being mailed back to the account holder without
being processed.
Please staple the new fingerprint
card (reprint) and a copy of the rejection notification together. Reprints must
be submitted within one year of the rejection date with the exception of the
following authorities which MUST be submitted within 90 days of the original
reject date: NRS 449.122, NRS 640E.150 or NRS 640D.110.
